Sometimes life's situations don't match our ideals. Yes, I have left my beloved dump in the city and moved back out to the country. It's not a change I can say I've come to terms with quite yet, but that's for another blog entirely. For now, the lettuce and I are adapting. I've planted them in mom's garden, and they've actually flourished quite nicely. Perhaps the fresher air agrees with them.
So this time I guess I'm following Maude...transplanting nature from the city back to the forest. (Seriously, I live in a forest.) At least my lettuce has a story now. They've come full circle, if you will. My next project should be in the works as I find a job and move away again. Who knows what I'll grow next? Honestly, I can't wait. I miss the city sounds...sometimes the quiet is so much louder. I can't help but feel like the city is for people who are constantly searching for something. Last time I found Urban Agriculture. This time maybe I'll even find my own Harold.
